Daily Schedule

Every day at Panda Cub Academy is thoughtfully structured to support your child’s natural curiosity, growing independence, and love for learning. While schedules may vary slightly depending on age group and season, here’s a look at a typical preschool day in our Mandarin-immersion environment:
Morning: A Joyful Start
to the Day
7:30 – 8:30 AM | Early Bird Drop-Off
Our doors open early for families who need a head start on the day. Children are welcomed into a calm and caring space to ease into their morning through quiet activities or play.
8:30 – 9:00 AM | Self-Selected Play
Children explore the classroom and engage in hands-on activities of their choice, fostering independence and creativity.
9:00 – 9:30 AM | Morning Meeting
We gather as a community to sing songs, greet one another, and talk about the day ahead. This group time builds language skills and a sense of belonging.
9:30 – 9:45 AM | Getting Ready for Outdoor Play
Children prepare to head outside, learning responsibility and self-care as they put on shoes, jackets, and sunhats or raincoats, depending on the season!
9:45 – 11:00 AM | Outdoor Exploration & Play
Time to stretch, run, dig, and discover! Outdoor play encourages gross motor development, sensory experiences, and social connection.
11:00 – 11:30 AM | Snack Time
A healthy snack fuels our bodies and gives us a moment to slow down and practice social skills like serving, sharing, and polite conversation.

Midday: Learning, Independence, and Rest
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM | Teacher-Led Lessons
In small groups or one-on-one, children engage in guided learning experiences that focus on math, language, science, or cultural topics—all woven into our Mandarin-immersion approach.
12:00 – 12:30 PM | Independent Work Time
Children choose hands-on learning materials tailored to their developmental level, promoting focus, concentration, and confidence.
12:30 – 1:00 PM | Lunch
A calm, joyful mealtime with friends. Children learn to serve themselves, clean up, and enjoy food together—an important part of Montessori life skills.
1:00 – 3:00 PM | Nap or Quiet Rest Time
Younger children rest and recharge, while older children may engage in quiet activities like reading or drawing.
Afternoon & Extended Care: Connection and Closure
3:00 – 3:15 PM | Storytime
We gather for a gentle transition into the afternoon with stories in English or Mandarin, encouraging listening and imagination.
3:15 – 3:45 PM | Afternoon Circle Time
This time may include music, movement, cultural activities, or games—nurturing friendships and joyful learning.
3:45 – 4:45 PM | Outdoor Play
Another opportunity to enjoy nature, get active, and build social-emotional skills through play.
4:45 – 5:00 PM | Snack Time
A second healthy snack helps energize children for the last part of the day.
5:00 – 5:30 PM | Self-Selected Play
Children wind down with quiet play and activities of their choosing as families begin arriving for pickup.
5:30 – 6:00 PM | Late Pick-Up
Our extended care provides a gentle close to the day in a warm, nurturing environment.
